Smack.

Crikey. That was over pretty quick. As always. Hope everyone had a good christmas. I went into brum today to spend my christmas money and I found nothing. I was gutted. Even the fantastic oasis was shut so I couldn't get any decent rock night stuff. I ended up doing an incredibly boring and sensible thing that I was pretty shocked about. Yes, I actually put money INTO my bank. Though I have just bought a wine coloured corset online. :) My other favorite shop in town 'CULT' has become a trendified pile of donkey balls. So I'm gutted ahout that too. For some reason America has all the good clothes shops... not that you can tell from how they dress.

I have to go on a plane tomorrow. I'm flying off to Belfast with Niall so he can see his family over the christmas holidays. I'm scared. Even though I've met them before I can't help but feel uneasy about seeing them. Got to be done though I suppose.

If anyone cares I got the following for christmas... money, perfume, the shining and a perfect circle dvd, two bags, some jack daniels, a skirt and bright red lacey top from heavy red, a dress, some kinky pants from mom (!), some charms for my bracelet, looooads of chocolate-always welcome, some books for uni, some japanese chocs and some wierd japanese nightmare before xmas goodies from my bro and a jack skellington purse. We also fed my mom with Sloth cocktail and she loved it. Another convert courtesy of me. Ooh and my bro phoned from japan on christmas eve totally sloshed (it was 4 in the morning there), bless him. It was nice to have a little chat with him. He's loving it out there. I think he was missing the christmas spirit of the UK though, it's no big deal over there. If he stays on next year I definatly want to try and get over there though it's totally ridiculous fares for flights. Stupid airlines.

Still have no plans for new year. No one can afford anything this year and everyone's off to different parts of the country so it's a bit tricky. I'll probably end up staying in for a change. Totally free, lots of drink, totally warm and no drunk people puking and trying to kiss you at midnight. Not all that bad especially when you're broke. And no, I'm not spending my money on New Year. It's not worth it. I'm not spending money for something completely inevitable which doesn't change no matter how drunk you get. That's stupid.

Anyhoo. I'm off to pack. Flying off in a noisy, metally/plastic tube with wings tomorrow. I hate planes.

Home

Wooohooo! I'm home. I kinda came home twice because we forgot to pick up the fish tank. Other than that, It's been a pretty uneventful few days. No electric nightie scares, no explosions, no spiders (yet). I've been buying yet more materials, reading stuff for my critical report and working on the man-appliances thingies. The iron's finished, the hoovers in progress. Not doing too badly. I'm so glad to be home. mom just cooked a fab shepards pie. mmmmm. Off to the pub tonight to catch up with some buddies, then tomorrow after doing some more work, it'll be off to the pub again for the usual christmas eve drinks and pressie fest with my mates from home.

I did try and get into another persons car the other day. It was parked not far from mine and looking godamn the same so I was bound to get confused!! Some people are so rude... fancy parking the SAME car near mine! the cheek of it! Needless to say I didn't get arrested or anything.

I'm missing rock night, it's been about two weeks now. I'll have to get myself off to edwards number 8 at some point, give my boots an outing. It'll be a bit nippy in my short skirts though. May require my stripey long socks... hrm.

I think jonjon was upset because I didn't get him a present this year. I got him one last year and I got nothing not even a card so this time I didn't bother due to short funds etc. That's fair enough I think. Cheeky sod trying to make me feel bad. It worked though. But he's still not getting anything. ha ha

Might be my last post 'til after christmas so have a goodun guys. Hopefully I'll have something to say then too.

xx

winter blues

I'm bored. So so so so bored. I just want to go home now but I've got another day to waste before I get collected and taken home to a warm house, lots of free food, and me mums cooking... mmm. Everyone left a while ago, it was lovely seeing Ktp again and she got me a cool bag all the way from india. Jonjon kept trying to beat me up but he foolishly forgot how beautifully sharp my teeth are. mwah-ha-ha-ha.

My moniter's being slowly eaten by a strange green mist in the corner which is turning everything up there a funny colour and it's doing wierd things to my eyes. My house is cold. My room's looking empty. There's nothing on tv. Dave didn't give me a christmas-goodbye hug (I waited for him to give ME one this time). I have lots of work to do but can't start it because most of the stuff I need is at home. And my tummy hurts.

I feel sad. :(

Sooooooo....

... not long to go now until christmas. I've not done too much the last few days other than mope about, get my hair chopped off and go to the library for research, though the yesterday I did start my critical report. I spent a whole day on it and only got to bed about one in the morning so I've got a fair chunk of it done. I also did some artwork for Ashborn at some point, but all the last few days seem like a blur. I just really want to get home at the moment. I am looking forward to tomorrow though. We're meeting up with Ktp who's been away in India and has popped back for christmas. It'll be great. :)

geez, I wish I had something interesting to say...

3d or not 3d...

I'm fed up having loads of computer references when I try to research Three Dimensional Illustration on the net. Computer aided artwork and illustration is NOT three dimensional at all... it's pixels for gods sake!

Also... why do we put scarves, hats and gloves on snowmen?? Surely the point of these garments is to stop the wearer getting cold... Doesn't really work with snowmen does it?

Hrm. Two completely valid points me thinks.

Electric Nightie

The wierdest thing happened last night. I have a silk nightie that's always been prone to being quite static, however last night it freaked me out. I was taking the thing off because I was really hot, and I saw a flash of light on it. I thought it was my eyes, but Niall said he saw it too. The next thing I know, I held it up and there were little flashing lights on it in various places. This scared me to death so I flung it over the room where it sparkled through the darkness and landed on the floor. I've seen some wierd things in my time but a silk nightie that lights up and sparks electricity is pretty random even by my standards. I never knew static could do that. I was so bewildered by the whole thing I had to have Niall reassure me that static isn't dangerous and that it only takes a tiny amount to produce a flash of light so I'm in no danger of electrocuting myself in my sleep or anything. I've always been quite electrical, every now and then I've gone to stroke my cats and ended up shocking them with a bit of static instead which they're never too happy about. But wow. Maybe I could use my nightie to generate power.

On a less electrical note, I went to see Andy today and he was mightily impressed with my ideas for the appliances. Just wish I had the money to buy some materials so I can start making the damn things. Booo.

Ladybug Ladybug, fly away home

The Ladybug left this morning. It was the last rock night of the year so it was nice the bug herself could be here for it. I had an interesting experience in the loo where a very nice girl named Pippa (which means something rude in greek) told me I looked really nice and had a lovely figure. Woohoo! I thought it was really nice and it made me happy. :)

The next day I took the ladybug to Nottingham for a christmas shopping trip. She'd never been before so I showed her round Ice Nine and Void etc. I think she was suitably impressed. They had a big german market on and we bought small glass pigs for each other from a German Val Kilmer look-alike. We also saw Father Christmas protesting on behalf of the "Fathers for Justice" organisation. He was on top of the pass over with police surrounding him below. Quite amusing. We ate dinner in the Pit and made a sausage pact while we drank 'Envy' cocktails. The pact was basically that we're not going to get so old and bitter that we don't laugh at the word sausage. I didn't buy much; just a few christmas cards, some fingerless stripey gloves, and some fishnet arm thingies. After almost ending up in Norwich by bording the wrong train, we finally made it home and got some dvd's out from blockbuster. We watched a wierd film called "wicked" which was about a girls slightly bizarre and disturbing relationship with her father after she murders her mom. Hrm.

Yesterday I showed the Bug around town. She managed to find a lovely dress to wear to a christmas party next week. She's going to look fab. I bought nothing but a Santa hat, which has been keeping my head warm ever since. In the evening moi, Ladybug, Niall, Dave, Jon, Rob and lots of Dave's hockey mates went to the Griffin (where we were given free fluffy christmas thongs and boxer shorts as part of a Wkd promotion; lets just say I don't think I'll be wearing mine on christmas day.)and The Phantom, where Dave said I wasn't sexy, so I gave him a slap. After much drinking, we spent about fifteen minutes in the smelly, overcrowded Echoes, though I did get to headbang to Busted and Tina Turner. On returning home we had a big debate about hatred, prison sentances, crime and the death penalty. Aaaah...

So yeah, it's been a fun weekend, and the house seems really quiet now the Ladybugs flown away but I'll be seeing her along with my other mates when I go home for christmas. Having such a good weekend has meant I haven't done any work on my ideas for Andy on Tuesday so I really should get some done tonight.

i feelin gd todae... haha...sic

Well project ideas are coming along nicely. Thanks goes out to bunny and sook. Cheers misters. I'm also thinking a vacuum cleaner, scrubbing brush, lawnmower, bbq and iron. So any guys who can offer me any help will be much appreciated. My lawnmower currently has go faster stripes, a HUGE engine on the back with an exhaust and of course the wing on the back. aaaah the chav's will love it... or should i say luv it. Speaking of which, I've been browsing a few blogs today and it really annoys me when people can't be arsed to type proper words. If you can't be arsed to type properly then why bother having a blog?! It's not communication it's just laziness. It's all stupid text speak and some of it is almost impossible to decipher... unless i'm just turning into a fogey of course. Here's an example:

"...todae woke up at 7.30..earli sia..yesterdae actualli wanna sleep at 10plus to 11 de..in the end sms wit frens till 12 plus sia..haha..sleep like nv sleep..haixx.tired..went out at 8.10..meet cousins at 8.30 at the bus stop..toopid cindy and candy..late again sia..haha..den we take e mrt all e way to jurong..den we went to jurong centre...reach there at around 9.15..den we went to the mac..the three of them see me eat..haha..cox i nv eat breakfast..then hungry mah..haha..den after that we went to the fuji ice skate place..it was onli around 9.50 like that..the skate park onli open at 10..so we waited outside den at 10..we went in...we buy e ticket and we collect the skate shoes..."

Whaaaaaat?!?!?! These sort of blogs usually come with really StUpId WrItInG LiKe ThIs on it somewhere. Why oh why oh why?

Only a few hours to go 'till Bug landing. I'm going to try and take my camera to rock night tonight. I really don't have enough pictures of me and my mates, and it is my final year at uni so I may as well get the typical drunk student photos while I still can. I've done nothing today except clean the house, though I did find a forum with loads of men saying how much they liked small boobs on women. This cheered me up immensly. There are some nice guys out there, I've always known it but they're few and far between. To be reassured that not all guys like huge boobs is really comforting and makes me feel a little bit better about myself. It's just a shame, the majority let the others down with snide comments and pathetic, demeaning insults. In a wierd ironic twist, some men are happy drooling over large breasted women, yet require constant assurance that "size doesn't matter" when it comes to themselves. Anyways, despite that, after reading those pleasent comments from the decent blokes on the forum, I'm feeling good today. :)

Have a robot.

" Yup, good"

Good news. My tutor Andy said "good" today in my tutorial. That means he likes my work. I'm quite pleased. My next project involves making household objects appealing to men. Like an iron for example. Sounds easy enough... just slap a naked woman on anything and they're hooked. I also found out that Andy's brother in law is that Steve guy contestant on the X factor programme. He's pants though so no amount of "claim to fame" stories can get me to like him.

Only two days to go until the ladybug lands on the midlands and uni rock night. I haven't seen her since easter probably and she's one of my very best mates so I'm looking forward to it.

On friday night we got two films out, 'Secret Window' and 'The Missing'. They were okay. 'The Missing' wasn't quite what I expected. I thought it was a supernatural thing but it turned out to be more of a western. Hrm. 'Secret Window' was a bit more entertaining, though it had a wierd storyline. I suppose that's what you come to expect from Stephen King. All the same it wasted a few hours.

Death by Boredom

I've decided that engineers are some of the most boring people on earth. It's not so much what they do, someone has to do it, it's the fact they talk about it 24/7. Put two engineers in a room and they can talk for hours with the smug satisfaction of knowing that any normal people nearby won't be able to understand a word they're saying. They talk random equations, about maths with no numbers just letters, talk about axels, sprockets, wishbone suspension, computational fluid dynamic wotsits and anything with a complex name that in actual life is just a godamn spring. Put more of them in a room and the dullness is doubled. The most amazing thing is the speed at which these conversations can flare up... it literally only takes a second for an engineer to meet another likeminded geek and the jargon spills out immediatly without fail. They can blabber on about it being interesting, or "hard" thus having to question each other non stop, but it's the dullest thing on earth and sometimes I just want to sit in my lounge, or even enter my own house without hearing about the worlds most boring subject within two seconds of being there!

fumes

woah two posts in one day...

Note to self: Even if it's freezing outside, always open windows when using a glue gun all day.

Freezing cold is NOT as bad as the fumes. Repeat. Freezing cold is NOT as bad as the fumes.

*passes out*

Rude Awakening

We were invaded by our letting agent and some random students this morning when no one was out of bed... bloody annoying. It'd be nice if we had a bit of notice before hand rather than just turning up. That's just rude. Jerks. On a plus note I did get two parcels in the post, one of which was my christmas present from Niall; a pretty black corset dress for our graduation ball. :)

So, rock night got off to an interesting start last night when we left the house without dave. There was a bit of a lapse in communication and we got mixed up as to wether or not he was coming with us. I got a phonecall when we were down the road from the poor honeysuckle shouting "you miserable sods". I felt really bad for accidentaly abandoning him, but he made it in the end and joined us when we got there. :) It was a good night, there were a fair few of my mates around and Mark brought along Loz which was really nice. It's great to have them both around. I had a fair old dance last night, I think I may have pulled a muscle in my stomach. I also got asked if I had a love interest from some rather drunk half trendie/half emo hybrids on the dance floor. Must have been my stockings.

I've been working alot this week, I've finished all my models and got them photographed in Notty, though some haven't come out as well as I planned. I may go back next saturday and take some more if I need to. One of my best buddies from home, the Ladybug is coming to stay next thursday so we can go on a shopping trip. I, however, won't be buying anything as I found out I'm over 900 squids over drawn the other day. This means I won't be able to afford to pay my rent after christmas. That poses a bit of a dilemma when nothing will be going into my account up until then, and plenty will be coming out in the shape of food, bills, materials and such like. Arse. I hate being a student. More still, I hate Tony Blair for forcing me into debt before I get a career, creating a huge fat cloud of overdraft, debt and doom on the rest of my life. Tosser.

I didn't get to see my tutor on tuesday so still no new project as of yet, though he said it may be to do with "fondant fancies". Hrm.
